CF-C2 CF-SX CF-AX Battery Safety Note

Dear Valued Customer,

As a result of Panasonic's ongoing commitment to improving our products and services, we recently identified a quality condition potentially affecting Panasonic Toughbook CF-C2, CF-SX and CF-AX series involving laptop battery packs.

Although we are not aware of incidents in Malaysia, in all abundance of caution, it is essential that you utlilise a BIOS Utility for the CF-C2 / CF-SX and CF-AX laptops to minimise the risk of an incident while we develop a final solution.

Procedure to update the battery capacity of replacement battery

 

Overview:

This document is to explain how to update the battery capacity of FZ G1’s battery from 80% to 100% if required.

The recall replacement battery, has battery capacity set to 80% charge by default. (capacity is set to 80% to make it safe for any kind of ignition incident). If users need it to be updated to 100% charge capacity for better battery performance (battery life) in addition to safety against ignition, the tool explained below can be used.
